This is a stand alone resource on the Perfect Tense in French which aims to help students understand how to form and use the tense through a logical, step by step approach.
page 1 - common ER, RE, IR regular verbs and common irregular verbs in the infinitive and past participle form.
page 2 - what does the Perfect Tense mean in English? Form the tense by doing a coordinates exercise.
page 3 - use infinitives, past participles and the Present Tense of ‘avoir’ from memory.
page 4 - form the negative of Perfect Tense verbs in French and learn which part of ‘avoir’ to use when subject pronouns are replaced by proper nouns.
page 5 - revise common time expressions used with the Perfect Tense and do a reading exercise.
page 6 - a display sheet which students can stick in their books to show them at a glance how to form the Perfect Tense in French.
page 7 - put your knowledge to work and conjugate, gap fill and translate then mark your work from an answer sheet.

There are also 5 pages of exercises based on Mrs. Vandertramp verbs and a 15 slide ppt. to help you explain how the Perfect Tense works.

A game of French Busters and Battleships adds a little fun to practising the Perfect Tense.

The worksheets have been meticulously designed and are at least as nicely presented as any resource you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don't be put off by the preview image which doesn't do the presentation of this resource justice. It looks so much nicer when downloaded.

Other resources I have made on this tense are set in the context of a holiday in Paris.
The Perfect Tense of regular 'avoir' verbs in French (context: Module 2;Studio book 2) ppt.

The Perfect Tense with 'être'. p. 34 - Studio book 2; Module 2; Paris, je t'adore!
