It is almost a guarantee (definitely an expectation) that in a translation in an A Level Spanish paper, students will be asked to translate a phrase with se… But often they don’t think of it as they just transfer erroneously the English phrase into Spanish e.g. the literal translation of “Spanish is spoken in Uruguay”. This PowerPoint attempts to get students’ attention to the use of se, with some translation exercises and some useful expressions containg “se”.
