Vocabulary builders: Speaking chains BUNDLE - GCSE

Bundle of 8 SPEAKING CHAINS to practice GCSE vocab on the following topics:

• basics
• connectives
• freetime and family
• holidays
• homelife
• environment (Medio ambiente)
• my town (Mi pueblo)
• work (Trabajo)

Cut the cards and distribute all of them between your students.
One student starts by reading out aloud an English word / expression from one of their cards. The person who has the card with its Spanish translation read it out and then proceed to read the English word / expression they have on the same card. The chain continues until all students have used up their cards.

This activity works well against the clock: you can time how long it takes for the students to complete the chain. They can have multiple attempts (swapping cards in between) to improve their personal best or beat another class’ record.
