Written Multiplication (4 by 2 digit) Worksheets

Two different worksheets that give the chance to practise multiplying a 4-digit number by a 2-digit number using the written method.

Both worksheets are set out as a list of questions with children required to then set them out accurately themselves as part of the written method. The first sheet focuses on multiplying a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number before then multiplying the same 4-digit number by a 2-digit number to introduce the new step. The final questions are then a range of 3-digit by 2-digit to apply the new learning.

The second sheet focuses on multiplying different 4-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers.

There is also a multiplication square attached to support if necessary.
