Part 3
OPENING DAY! The first chance to generate income!

• This day assumes full attendance (i.e. hotel capacity)
• Entrance ticket prices depends on star rating - uses a formula
• Calculating income from entrance tickets
• Calculating profit from shops/restaurants/toilets
• Calculating cost of dinosaur food, hotel staff and park staff using percentages
• Working out overall profit
• Any profit can then be spent to improve their star rating

Price lists for after Opening Day - can be altered with % discounts of offers of the day for fun
ATTENDANCE CARDS & CHANCE CARDS - the best part according to the pupils!

• Pupils pick a random card from each pile
• Attendance card determines the % of guests in their hotel/island that day
• Chance card may be positive or negative: e.g. ‘Hitting the Headlines!’ or ‘Dangerous Dinosaur’
  These two cards are then used alongside Daily Calculations worksheets for Days 2, 3, etc. at the island
  Calculating income/expenditure for each day at the island - similar to Opening Day but attendance % and chance cards affect calculations
  Calculating ferry fuel costs using sequences and formulae
  Aquatic arena investments - mosasaur exhibits
  Aviary investments - pteranodon enclosure
  New dinosaurs on the market for purchasing, including the Indominus Rex!
  Second Park Rating
  Gyrospheres investment - plan and plot routes for the gyrospheres across the island.
