Full SOW, PowerPoints, Worksheets, assessment material, paperwork for extracurricular trip to TATE BRITAIN and HW activities.
This is a cross-curricular SOW that looks at promoting students to consider links between the two art subjects. They will improvise/compose music to try and convey the meaning/atmosphere of various artwork. The aim is for students to consider artists intent and then their ability to try and manipulate the elements to create a composition to support it. It’s nice to try and organise a visit to the TATE BRITAIN during week 3 of the scheme and from this students select a painting and compose to this. The final assessment is a performance much like Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ with the entire class performing as if the listener was walking through an exhibition of their chosen artwork.
