This project is an introduction to the piano. Aimed at Year 7 it is scaffolded from the bottom up and ensures all learners make progress. As well as fully resourced PowerPoints, you will also receive a booklet full of everything each learner needs as resources and for formative and summative learning. The booklet is numbered and this is also noted on the PowerPoints for ease of student and teachers. It takes students through note pitches, values, symbols and other basic notation, assessing students as emerging (right hand of London Bridge) Developing (right hand melody of London Bridge + root note of chord) securing (right hand melody and left hand chords of London Bridge) and Excellence (a negotiated chorded melody of the students choosing).
