As in most departments, we use knowledge organisers in MFL at my school. In the past, these have developed each half-term / term but as we felt as though we didn’t exploit these well enough in lessons, we have moved towards a more general knowledge organiser divided into key elements of language use (verbs, adjectives, opinions, connectives, intensifiers and negatives). To ensure the knowledge organiser is useful for low-ability, middle-ability and high-ability students it has been divided further into ‘solid answer’ vocab, ‘aiming higher’ and ‘aiming for the knowledge’, similar to the Viva GCSE answer boosters.
