Reading unit on the book ‘First Blood: Spy Master’ by Jan Burchett and Sara Vogler
A great book for The Tudors topic in KS2.
I used the book last year during remote learning, recorded chapters and set writing tasks. The children loved the book and the mystery of it so I decided to revisit it this year and expand the learning.
Chapters 1-6 reading comprehension sheets
Written in the style of Literacy Shed’s VIPERS
Reading, English and Grammar lessons for the book are available on MyShop
I use the questions when reading to the class. My TA has a copy of the sheets and notes down the children’s ideas and answers for verbal evidence of reading. I collect as many answers as possible each lesson.
