Introduction to Photography – AQA GCSE Specification
Complete with:
• Teaching PowerPoint - with notes.
• Printable resources PowerPoint - starter and other activities to aid learning - all designed around the PowerPoint that can be printed and laminated for the lessons.
Scheme of work written for each lesson, can be changed or adapted to suit.
I designed this project to be an exciting introduction into photography, covering all elements in photography around the camera settings and covering all areas of the specification. I have based this project around ‘miniature’ photography, the only props needed would be miniature railway people, Lego figures and toy cars – which can all be brought in bulk on eBay, or encourage students to get their own. Each artist has been chosen to work around the skills taught and build upon one another, with Photoshop tutorial sheets included to assist learning and success criteria on each slide to give the students the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning. Finally, the project ends to allow students to produce their own developmental series which looks at how to create a meaningful response and how they might present their work. All links are included in the notes for each artist information/ videos and information on tutorials/ extra videos for support.
