Home Front Lesson
This is a I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here style lesson based around the WW1 Home Front.
The students will be groups completing tasks in a round robin to collect stars. The groups will the most stars will win a prize down to the teacher’s discretion.
All resources for this lesson are included except the local area aspect. There is a sheet that needs to be filled in about your individual area to make the activity work.
This can be a very enjoyable lesson and can work very well for students developing their history knowledge. I would aim this at higher level groups as it will need to be a snapshot of each aspect and not an in depth explanation note taking lesson unless you wish to use this over more than one lesson.
Please leaver feedback for this lesson.

Black History Month - Nelson Mandela
This is a whole lesson for Black History Month.
It starts with a explanation of what Black History Month is and why Nelson Mandela is an important figure.
This is followed by a debate that splits the class up into two teams and they are given a side.
At the end, bring them back together as a reflection to why he is and isn’t important in the change of society.
This can be quite a good debate if done correctly, please enforce the 5Ps to make this a great and fun lesson for all.
Please leave feedback to improve this style of lesson.
