I like resources which are visual and can be used on different levels. I've been teaching for a long time and relish the challenge of helping others learn.

' A little Learning is a dangerous thing..' Students assess their colleagues' ability to answer some basic questions.....urban myths. Answers provided and plenty to do. Could stretch over many lessons. Why not involve research ?
Pastoral slides for a year 7 but can be adapted . A quick reminder that it’s really simple to make resolutions. They should already form part of who we are and what we do. Good for assembly/tutor time.
Some slides containing ICONS which can be integrated into your lessons and and external explanations of each category. Many thanks to the acknowledged link in this resource.
Lesson allows students to compare their own experience with their teacher's. Creates empathy and bonding between the two. Worksheet attached, Adaptable to all levels and my students loved it. Homework included. Feedback pls. :)
A resource with a powerpoint lesson presentation on a Team building exercise based on an extant worksheet. Useful for first lessons/PSHE. You'll need to adapt dates etc. Links to loads of other stuff as well.
Lesson focusses students on what they can do to improve their relationships with those that look after them. Father's Day in the Uk this June 16th. Will need tweaking for those not living in UK and does touch on issues which may be sensitive.
20 'What if ...' questions leading to three powerful questions. Can be used slide by slide each tutor time or all at once. Adaptable and designed to generate thinking on a different level.
I put these together to help me with behaviour issues in lessons. Students respond well to image re-enforcement and you can easily point to the board instead of repeating yourself. I always begin with the slide 1 when with year7s....
Writing to advise lesson which give students a chance to self differentiate. All necessary material included. Adaptable to all KS3 year groups and, hopefully, a wider field than UK !
Pupils consistently display a thirst for knowledge and understanding and a love of learning, including when being taught as a whole class or working on their own or in small groups. This has a very strong impact on their progress in lessons.
With this in mind I devised an independent project for Year 7s (but it could run across the whole school). On our school VLE I posted the attached tasks. Each Year 7 student was given a scrap book and told to complete as many tasks as they wanted. For each completed task, the student receives a gold coin sticker. I organised it through tutor groups so the form with the most coins wins a trip out of school in the summer term.
Parents love this as it gives students something to do in the holidays and on weekends. Activities are often London based as this is our nearest city but this can be adapted to any place in the world.
Get your departments on board and help develop a thirst for knowledge in your school!
