This is an absolute winner!
I have used this activity in both secondary schools and FE colleges, and is suitable for primary learning. It really works in engaging students of all abilities and ages. This can be used as stand alone fun activity, or as a starter for a lesson on place value.
It also provides opportunity for 2 digit addition (calculator/non-calculator).
Full instructions and suggestions included.
Five different probability experiments and games that can be used as the start of a lesson, to collect data to allow comparisons between realative frequency and theorectical probability.
I have used these activities in both secondary schools and FE colleges. They really do work in engaging students of all abilities. All can be used as stand alone fun activity, at the end of a working week as a treet. The probability bingo is a real winner.
The pack features:
Lucky Maze Game
Me Tarzan, You Jane
Probability Bingo
Probability Horse Racing Game
Predict the colours in the bag.
Full instructions and suggestions included.
Students are given a number of different events, which they will then discuss the likelihood of them happening, and place in the groups headed:
Impossible, unlikely, evens, likely, certain.
A resource with over 60 slides. There is enough material for a series of lessons. Slides designed to be printed to create worksheets for students.
Includes:
Starter activities;
Worked examples and practise questions;
Different methods of partitioning;
Partitioning diagrams;
Different ways of representing numbers:
Challenge questions;
Self assessment opportunities;
Templates to allow teachers to create extra resources/questions.
The lessons end with a fun bingo activity, that allows teachers to assess learning.

There are 3 pairs of simultaneous equations with their solutions for groups/pairs to sort out and work out which solutions go with which pair of equations.
A “How to Find” card sort.
Students given set of cards with methods of finding:
Percentages and Fractions of amounts,
Area and Perimeter,
Volume,
Averages.
The cards include some wrong methods, and also the different methods that can be used.
I designed this to use with Level 1 & 2 FS students but can be used with any age students.
A pack of different Maths starters/activities.
Includes:
Decimal Washing Line - Ordering and comparing decimals.
Recognising Numbers - Recognising numbers 1-10 in different forms.
Number line & Shape Sort - Whole number and decimal number lines (1-20). Plus, a shape sorting activity that enable students to explore properties of different shapes. The “odd one out” questions have multiple possible answers, which leads to a class discussions. Ends with a shape sort.
Using Numicon - An introduction to using Numicon pieces to solve number problems.
Subtracting single digit numbers - students to takeaway pieces of fruit from a bigger bunch.
Shapes, Sums, Same & Coordinates - A mix of Pirate themed starters and activities. Including: Finding shapes, Making Sums, Same & Different, Pirate Map (coordinates in first quadrant).

Learning Objective:
To be able to solve one-step problems that involve addition and subtraction, using concrete objects and pictorial representations. (1C4)
Students try to solve problems posed by the Number Robots. The big idea is for students to be able to write number sentences (i.e. 3+4=7) to represent a number of different situations.
Includes worked examples and Mastery questions.

A FS Number Level 1 activity, that requires calculations involving money, time, percentages, and ratio.
Students, acting as concert promoters, will need to make decisions based on a number of possible scenarios to achieve a profit.
A fun activity, that is use to evaluate the understanding of students who have been learning about the area and perimeters of triangles and rectangles.
Would suit any age/year group who have covered this topic, and can be used as revision and to recap previous learning.
I have used it with different classes in secondary schools and in colleges and it always engages. You can offer small prizes to the winners, which adds a bit of competition into the activity.
The resource includes a slide with all the possible answers, from which the students have to choose 16 to fill a 4x4 game grid (If time is limited can use a 3x3 grid).
There are 35 bingo slides, which can be shuffled if you want to mix up the order. These slides show either triangles or rectangles with some dimensions. You can either then ask individual students for answers, or just ask the class.
