Engage your learners with this colourful inforgraphic style booklet as they learn all about the structure and function of the heart, circulatory system and cardio respiratory system. The booklet contains QR codes which learners can use their mobile phones to scan in class and be redirected to the BBC Bitesize Biology Videos and Text to complete additional activities included in the booklet. This booklet is designed to be used alongside the Free colour and label heart diagram provided in my shop. The activity can be uploaded as an online distance learning activity or printed on A3 size paper to complete in class. Includes stretch and challenge activities and answers to all the questions so that this acitivity is ready to go as soon as it’s printed or uploaded.
Before handing to learnerss, be sure to remove the attached answer sheet so that they do not receive the answers to the task. This is an ideal activity to support learners with their researching, reading and writing skills as well as their GCSE Biology or L2 BTEC Technical Animal Biology and Health Unit.
The activity when used in conjuction with the free colour and label diagram of the heart can take between 25-30minutes or more to complete. It is possible that this activity can be stretched to last a maximum of 1 hour dependent on learner ability, prior knowledge and use of the stretch and challenge activities.

A cover sheet with instructions and a symbol key to help identify each task on each page of the booklet.

Define key terms activity. Learners are provided with all the answers to the free colour and label heart diagram provided in my shop and are asked to define each term in the booklet to build on prior learning.

We recommend that you have students download the free QR code reader: NeoReader app or any Free QR code to participate in this activity.
Other resources that you may need include; pens, markers, blank flash cards or (A4 paper and scissors), laptops, connection to Wifi and the learners will need their mobile phones to scan the codes.
