PGCE/ITT Potential Questions Grid

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. ***** FOLLOW @AllRoundRes, to stay up-to-date with the latest resources and news! ***** #GetYourLearnOn I created this resources as part of my PGCE interview preparations for Religious Education and thought it would be useful to share for those who went through the same process as me as I know it is a very anxious and nerve racking experience. While, I this for a Secondary subject specific interview, the questions will remain the same regardless of subject or level, inc. primary, secondary and FE. Included in the grid are questions that I was asked and those which I found through research to be the most likely questions to be asked. Most of the time they key questions always asked are - why do you want to be a teacher, why do you want to teach this subject, a behavior management questions, a safeguarding question and a subject knowledge question as well as others which are included. So, it is a good idea to have a solid idea of how you would answer these questions and be prepared - remember you are showing them your potential as a teacher! I personally printed them and noted down some answers so I had a prompt when I was asked them. If you have an online interview (like I did because of COVID-19) then you could display them around your camera to prompt your responses but remember don’t stare at them or focus on them too long as you don’t want your interviewer thinking that you’re distracted. If you want to ask me any questions or would like advice, tips or ideas etc, with regards to PGCE or ITT interviews then please do not hesitate to get in touch either by the below contact or my Edu Twitter profile of @SENDISaundersRE where you can DM me. Good luck! Tutor Group 'Get to Know'/Transition Booklet

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. This resource is designed to help you get to know students and for them to tell you more about them. It is a 4 page booklet with a title page and three activity pages. The first two pages provide opportunities for students to tell you a bit more about them, such as things they like, three words to describe them, their superpower, favourite food and colour etc. The second gives space for students to tell you things they want you to know, information and details about their family, school life, achievements and any questions they have for their form tutor that they may be to nervous to ask in front of a full class. The last page is designed to be an acrostic poem with your tutors name - ‘In 123 we are’, with the opportunity for students to fill in and decorate with a doodle border. This can be printed as a booklet with 2 pages on a page so it folds and flows as a 4 page booklet. The best way to print this is within the booklet settings of printer software/systems. It is also completely editable for you to customize to your school and needs etc. If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail.com or sendisaunders@gmail.com or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help!

Six Thinking Hats Classroom Display Posters

Students can use this in independent, paired and grouped worked activities to assess their learning (AfL). I would display these around the classroom and have an A3 sheet on each student desk so that they can refer to it when completing tasks. Students should mainly use this to think more when completing tasks in lessons or even homework tasks at school or to wider their knowledge of specific topics. Hope this helps your students learning. Please rate and comment! :-)
