I created this resource for Year 9 RE, but it could be used for PSHEC/Citizenship for all levels. The lesson focuses on capital punishment, giving students an inisght to this type of punishement and how it’s used around the world and what different religions view points are. Ready to go and fully adaptable! Also, included are all mentioned resources and full lesson plan, explaining all!
Includes fully differentiated Lesson Objectives/Outcomes based on Bloom’s Taxonomy; allowing students to take charge of their learning by focusing on what they want to achieve by the end of the lesson.
Includes, an interactive starter, with music to help stimulate students learning, key information; facts figure, religious view points, students will need to make note of these for the main activity. Check your understanding quiz - AfL. Main task, is getting students to write a speech… It’s debate day! Students are members of parliament and have to either argue for or against bringing capital punishment back into UK law. With full support sheet and parking criteria to allow for peer marking. A HMWK task, where students have to create a Twitter feed, imagining they are on death row.

This is a FREE resource and gives a brief summary overview of secular humanism worldview. Content is relevant up to KS3 however could be a good starting point for KS4/GCSE studies. Included are key vocabulary, key features and ideas of humanism, answers to big questions of morality such as, humanist views of truth, how life has meaning and value, the ‘good life’, societal impact and views on death. This resource is by no means an extensive one containing everything on secular humanism, however it does provide the key ideas and beliefs as a summary and can easily be adapted where necessary. For example, each slide/topic/question could be used as lesson within itself.

Students can use this in independent, paired and grouped worked activities to assess their learning (AfL). I would display these around the classroom and have an A3 sheet on each student desk so that they can refer to it when completing tasks. Students should mainly use this to think more when completing tasks in lessons or even homework tasks at school or to wider their knowledge of specific topics. Hope this helps your students learning. I created these resources during the AQA GCSE Media Studies 2016 Exam Period for Science Fiction. The are useful for future MS students to revise from or to use as part of an assessment or in general just revise the Science Fiction genre.

I created this resource, for work experience students undertaking a placement. It is essentially a full comprehensive guide for students undertaking a placement. It contains everything a student needs to do and know during the lead-up, while on placement and after their experience. A 26-page booklet – essential for any work experience student!
Takes students through a step-by-step guide of how students should approach work experience. From calling and organising the placement, to a pre-placement interview, to making sure they know all the important information about the placement, to how to develop their skills and recognize the importance of skills employers look for; skills for life. I created this resource for A Level AQA Geography (Physical), but it could be used for any exam board. It is based on the topic of Hazards. It is a revision guide for case studies of earthquakes; Haiti and Christchurch.
It is a good tool to help students create any revision resources, i.e. mind-maps and cue cards etc.
The case studies themselves, include key facts, impacts and causes categorised into social, economic and environmental factors. There are simplified tables, comparing both case studies. Allowing students to prepare and use their knowledge accurately when answering exam questions, like 20 markers. There is also space for additional notes.

I created this resource for BTEC L3 Business Studies; Unit 3 – Personal and Business Finance. It is a self-assessment checklist, where students can track their learning at the time of review.
It’s suggested to use this resource in conjunction with the ‘BTEC L3 Business Studies: Unit 3 - Personal and Business Finance Independent Study/Revision Booklet!’ Resource, for students to achieve their best, in successfully revising and being prepared for their exam!
This resource, is colour coded as per learning aim with the same colours as the study/revision guide, for easy use and clarification. Each learning aim; A, B, C, D, E and F, has its own section, where students can RAG rate statements that they should know for the exam and whilst revising. The RAG rate section is colour coded; red, orange and green for easy use. It’s designed to help students focus their revision and studying with what they need more practice and learning on.
