Speech Therapy Made Easy! What does this set include: This set includes 48 cards which include a variety of th sound articulation words using all positions. Examples of these words include: Initial – thorn, thumb, throne Medial – toothbrush, smoothie, python Final – cloth, math, north Who would benefit from using these cards? Children who have difficulty with speech and articulation would benefit from this set. These may include children with apraxia of speech, autism, Down Syndrome and severe phonological processes would benefit from these cards. These cards would even help in building up the students vocabulary. There are two buckets included at the end of the set. The first bucket can include the articulation cards which have been able to be successfully completed and the second bucket is for the articulation cards that might need a little bit more practice. When the students see that eventually their ”successful” buckets get full, this will help build upon their sense of achievement. Assembly Instructions: Simply print on paper, laminate if desired and cut the articulation cards. REMEMBER…. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! This Bingo game is a great game to familiarize students with a variety of helpful and unhelpful coping skills. This is a great game for individual, small group or even whole class activities. This game is the perfect supplement to your SEL lessons. This bingo game includes the following unhelpful and helpful coping skills: Counting, have a drink, bounce on ball, happy thoughts, hug favourite toy, stress ball, go for a walk, play play-doh, read a book, talk to someone, write it down, refuse to work together, pushing others, giving up, bossing others around, not listening, kick things, kick someone, tantrum, destroy property, throw items, using swear words and telling lies. HOW TO PLAY The caller reads the bingo card, and the players identify whether they have that card on their BINGO mat. If they do, then they cross it off and the first to cross off all 16 coping skills on their unique mat first wins the game! This page can be omitted if it is not applicable, however is a great strategy to support this process should the child have significant anxiety surrounding independent sleeping. Students are encouraged to match and sort the various behaviours and reflect on whether they are helpful or unhelpful behavioural choices. This resource is versatile and can be used as a quick reference guide, a sort and match activity lesson, within individual or small group sessions or even as a supplement to your SEL lessons! Laminate and glue this resource to a file folder for repeated use and longevity. You will need scissors, glue and a file folder. Alternatively, you can assemble this resource using hook and look adhesive dots. The following Waiting Program has been developed with positive behaviour support principles, including the use of relational reinforcers (praise and commendation). This program encourages implementation with a gradual waiting time and the use of visual supports. This one page program provides step by step instructions to implement a “waiting” program. This program has been developed to be used for children under 13 years of age and clearly explains the process of increasing the time a child is able to wait (delayed gratification).
