A lesson where students develop their understanding of the historical skill ‘significance’ by looking at several different historical figures such as William the Conqueror and Rosa Parks, from a range of time periods. This was used as an interview lesson, so all resources are highly differentiated, include WAGOLLs and there are a range of AFL methods within the lesson.

This is a lesson designed to be either a standalone lesson or as part of a scheme of work on the monarchy / changes to the monarchy over time. This was created to be used as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of 2022. It allows pupils to gain: An understanding of what the word ‘Jubilee’ actually means An insight into how Jubilee events have been celebrated over time A creative activity at the end for students to showcase their knowledge whilst creating resources to celebrate the Platinum jubilee! I hope you find this lesson useful :-)
