Common Exception Words Bookmarks
Bookmarks/ word lists containing the common exception words from the English National Curriculum - Appendix 1: Spelling.
Use these as a visual reminder to support the correct spelling of these high-frequency words which do not follow the spelling patterns. Each bookmark contains 8-10 words, breaking the learning into small, manageable chunks.
Suitable to support initial learning, revision or intervention for those who find spelling tricky.
These bookmarks contain all words for year groups 1-6, plus blank bookmarks for those words the children would benefit from practising!
