The resource consists of a sentence builder to talk about the Internet and 5 following-up tasks to practise (see sample); the answers are included. The activities are built-up to ensure the students will secure the knowledge, but also pay attention to their spelling in order to be more accurate. This would generally take an hour to go through (more or less depending on KS3/KS4 and abilities).
The activities are:
Reading activity
Rebuild the sentences from the first letter of each word (8)
Translate the sentences into English (8)
Translate the following paragraph into French
Answer the following question in French: ‘what’s your opinion of the Internet?’
Although not on the sheet, I will always ask my students to do a speaking with activity 5.
It’s a very versatile resource which can be used for a stand-alone lesson or as part of the 9-1 GCSE curriculum (Module 2 for AQA & Edexcel) by specialists and non specialists alike (if used by an MFL teacher, you can spend some time explaining some grammar points/language).
I hope you will find it useful.
Merci de votre visite ; any questions, just ask.

Edit 10/10/2019: Bundle available!
With 20 cards (10 texts translated into English on a wide range of topics), get your student to practise their translation, writing and speaking skills. This set is primarily for those students who would aim for a 7/8/9 as it includes a wide range of opinions/reasons/tenses/complex structures/idioms (in dark red) as well as a touch of originality to stand out from the crowd (see sample)! The topics included consist of the following:
jobs (parents)
ideal job
idea of jobs when I was younger
the most important thing in a job
working inside vs outside
future plans apart from work
wedding
speaking foreign languages
personal qualities
work experience (past)
These cards can be used in a variety of ways… Your imagination is the limit! I would use this as revision cards, translation practice, ‘speed-dating’ translation, writing or speaking practice and various activities.
You have access to both the double-sided (French on one side, English on the other) and the card back version to make it easy for you: just print/send to reprographics what you want, and it’s literally cut&go!
The colour will change depending on the module (Module 7 = orange/brown)
I really hope you will find it useful; if you have any suggestions, please do let me know as I can update the content at any given time. Your reviews/advice/ideas would be very much appreciated as I always thrive to make my creations better! (Thank you so much for the feedback so far :))
Let me know if you want to see a more ‘foundation’ version of these sets!!!
Merci beaucoup de votre visite ; any questions, just ask!

French in a Nutshell is a series of short educational videos to understand how the French language works (followed by some tasks).
The majority of these videos are voiceless so that they can be used in classrooms and/or without sound.
This worksheet/video tackles regular -re verbs in French, with 3 following-up tasks in the video https://youtu.be/4QPFMoMVHdM. The video can be used as a medium for teaching (pausing it to explain further, or to have the pupils do extra activities of your own)
Any feedback or future ideas would be fantastic (as it will be quite a long series!).
Enjoy, and any questions, just ask. Merci !
