Students work out the missing word for each box and re-write the sentence correctly. Challenge is to translate into English! Great for chunking and word order!

Students ‘burst’ the balloon that has the correct verb from the set of clues in the box.

Students use the colour codes to work out the sentences. The first part is a conjugation, the second part is the remaining part of the sentence. Teacher decides on what tense to conjugate into.

Students draw a bar graph according to if the sentences across the bottom are present, past etc. Good cross curricular activity and also combines numeracy! :)

Students translate each sentence that corresponds to a ball. Each numbered ball is worth the number of points on each ball: e.g. the black ball is worth 8 points. Sentences get more difficult towards the end as the balls are worth more points! Student with most points - wins! Sentences can be done from Eng-TL or TL to Eng.

Using the website flamingtext.com I have created this template called Blurred Phrases. Students write out the sentences in the TL and then translate as a challenge.
