Henry VIII Interactive Presentation and Quiz
This is not a presentation in the traditional sense! It is an opportunity for members of your class to work independently at a computer, search for the hyperlinks on the image and research information about Henry VIII and answer the questions in the multiple choice quiz.
I made this to encourage students to work independently. It works like a mini website and they enjoyed trying to find all 10 hyperlinks that are hidden in the picture.
Of course it's much safer than a website and you can assess their research with the quiz.
The image of Henry with dots on is just to you where the hyperlinks are! Students don't see this!

A fun worksheet to practice mixing colours with dots. Created because of all the hats in Seurat's work.
SEURAT POINTILLISM UMBRELLA
A worksheet for students to practice mixing colours using pointillism. Inspired by all the umbrellas in Seurat's painting 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte'.
POINTILLISM EIFFEL TOWER PROJECT
This creative project teaches students about Pointillism, Seurat and colour mixing. It is flexible in length and could be completed as quickly as 1hr 20 mins. If students draw their own Eiffel Tower, or if you include some of the suggestions on the end of the lesson plan, it would be 2 to 3 hrs.
It starts with Students looking at a PowerPoint on Pointillism focusing on Seurat. (9 slides) It includes a script and looks at:

There is then a worksheet where students can practice mixing colors with dots. This is an attractive worksheet which would look great in a sketchbook or as a display.
Students are then asked to recreate Seurat’s Eiffel Tower. More able pupils will draw the Eiffel Tower. Less able, or younger students, will place their dots over the faint image of the Eiffel Tower.
An extension task is suggested as well as other ideas to extend the project e.g. finding France on a world map and Paris on a France map.

Teach either the 8 Point or 4 Point Compass with this bundle.
It includes a presentation to teach your class about the compass. A leaflet in two versions, one for an 8 point compass and one for a 4 point compass. The presentation includes the information your class needs to answer the questions on the leaflet.
There is a step by step guide to construct the leaflet so that it is 3D.
Additionally there is a 'Points of the Compass' sheet to cut up so your class can copy the points of the compass onto their leaflet.
There is a poster to display which helps teach which way is North, South, East and West.

Contractions Starter Activity 2
Laminate the whole page. Cut off the sentences at the top to make a place-mat. Cut out the individual words below. Ask your classes to place the contractions over the correct two words.
Great for assessing what they know or useful as a starter to get your students to recall what they have learnt.
There are three pages to this resource.

Three page starter activity to laminate and use again and again.
Laminate the whole sheet. Neatly cut off the words at the bottom leaving the top like a place-mat. Cut out the individual words from the bottom. Ask Learners to place the two words which make up the contraction in the two boxes next to that word.
Use this starter to see what they already know or assess their recall from a previous lesson. This is a great activity to consolidate using the apostrophe.

Title and 13 images to create an instance Ancient Greek display. Pictures include a map, coins, clothing, God, mosaic, the Acropolis and more. They are within a plain white PowerPoint presentation so all you have to do is press print!
Illustrate a Christmas Poem
This festive activity asks your students to each draw around a verse from the very famous 'A Visit From St Nicholas' more commonly known as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. There are 14 verses so I got every student to do one and created a display in my room and a display on the corridor. Alternatively you could make it competitive.
An inspiration sheet of festive images is provided to help your class with their drawing.
This makes a wonderful display and could even be used to create a performance of the poem or assembly.
