There’s a lot of debate around using PowerPoint in lessons, it’s a bit like marmite but for me, having slide provide a sense of routine and structure both for me and the children. This PPT Set include: Morning Work Slides Morning Meeting Slides Break Time Slides Lunch Time Slides Hometime Slides Blank Slide for editing! The fonts used in these slide are KG Blank Space (available free on 1001Fonts) and LetterJoin (KG First time in Forever is a free alternative with a similar look)

Here’s my Exploring Numbers Around Us worksheet. There are two worksheets included: Numbers in ME! which encourages children to think about the numbers that are special to them such as their age or their birthday Numbers in my Classroom! which encourages children to think about the numbers in their classroom such as the number of children with brown hair. This product was one of my first and I’m super happy with how it turned out. I hope to update it to include other representations of numbers as ten frames aren’t often used in the UK.

Shape Spotting

Shape Spotting

(0)
Here’s my Shape Spotting worksheet for EYFS. This download includes 4 worksheets that ask children to either color in specific shapes or count how many shapes that can see. The objectives of this sheet is to encourage children to recognise shapes by their characteristics rather than what they know. i.e. this shape has no corners so it’s a circle. It’s useful as the shapes are in different rotations, translations and sizes so encourages children to really think about characteristics. Differentiation is in the form of the two different sheets: LA can be encouraged to focus on improving their knowledge of shapes characteristics with the coloring sheet whereas MA and HA can incorporate number skills with the counting sheet. Furthermore, one set of sheets use ‘basic’ shapes such as square, rectangle, cirlce and the other has diamonds, hexagons etc. Links to: Shape, Space and Measure Counting Numbers

Writing the Alphabet

(0)
Here’s my Writing the Alphabet worksheet for EYFS and the very first product I created! This sheet focuses on letter formation and asks children trace the letter 5 times then to represent the letters of the alphabet in 9 different ways: Write It! - Simply write the letter Trace It! Dot It! - to write the letters in dots Colour It! - use colouring pens/ pencils to write the letter Cross It! - to write the letter in small crosses Stamp It! - to stamp the letter in the space Stick It! - to stick in the letter (foam letters, cut out letters) Make It! - to make the letter out of string, wool, match sticks Reveal It! - to write the letter in white crayon then reveal it in pen This is useful as it allows children to become familiar with the formation of the letter through repetition. Different means of support can be added to differentiate the activities such as allowing HA students to search for the correcrt letter stamp whilst LA students have the stamp provided.
