KS3 Macbeth- The Witches A range of images from original woodcuts illustrating witches from the Elizabethan age. Excellent points of discussion for the class to think about and consider why people thought that they existed. Range of questions for students to consider and work on answers. Then they look at the opening speeches and analyse the use of language and how Shakespeare is presenting these women.

Students use the inspiration to write their own piece entitled "My Perfect Place" where they describe their perfect world using a range of writing devices. Presents students with images and sounds to interest them and provoke discussion into using a range of words to describe what they can see. Students should then start to create a short descriptive piece based upon a stormy image. Opportunity to work in pairs and groups. Students will then use an extract from a student’s piece of writing and fill in the gaps with vocabulary choices. They have the opportunity to grade the work.
