For KS3 Forces topic OR KS4 LAP review or revision The following resource is a learning grid in which pupils can answer questions in order to earn points. Fully engaging when coupled with simple prizes (merits or even material prizes) Pupils roll a set of dice and move to the corresponding grid co-ordinate. They answer the question in their book and earn the points. Questions have different levels of difficulty to challenge all pupils. Comment on other ways you use the grid!

New AQA (Atomic Physics topic) - Nuclear Fission

(0)
Fully differentiated lesson aimed at developing understanding of how nuclear fission is used to produce energy in nuclear power plants. Includes all specification content with a focus on how to answer past exam paper questions. All included in the power point *Information will be needed for the main activity, I allowed students to access the internet to find out their information. I guided them towards BBC bitesize.

Physics equation posters (AQA Triple, Synergy and Trilogy)

(0)
A complete set of posters covering all the equations students need to either remember or will be given for the 2018 AQA science exams. This is a complete set of equations which can be printed on A3/A4 and laminated for your classroom walls. I have colour coded the equations with a red or blue box. 'Red box equations' are for students to remember 'Blue box equations' are given in the formula sheet Each poster has the equation written as a standard symbol equation; a word equation (with units) and as a formula triangle (for foundation students). Please enjoy!

AQA Physics - Forces unit revision flash cards

The PDF contains a series of slides that can be used a revision flash cards for students. The facts are taken directly from the **AQA ** specification including worked examples of equations , required practical and any specific knowlegde. Each card contains: Information linked to the exact specification content The specification criteria that students must know Equations and formula triangles for required equations with a worked example Required practical cards have a method, resolution, variables, sources of inaccuracies and findings ****As far as I know the content is exact as of the 2016 reforms and completely up to date. Please let me know if you feel I have missed anything out. I also plan to release the powerpoint for this but this will come out at a later date.

New AQA Physics (Energy unit) - Energy Resources

This lesson is part of the new AQA Physics energy unit. It focuses on allowing students to develop their knowledge on energy resources and sustainability. Students are asked to select appropriate renewable energy sources for an island taking into consideration social, economic and environmental factors. The task itself takes a fully independent approach and develops many key skills such as: Decision making, communication, team work, mathematical and analytical skills. Students must justify their decisions and work towards given deadlines. The work is differentiated by outcome and there is opportunity for students to peer-assess. I would advise that the lesson takes 1.5 hours to complete. Worksheets and powerpoint included. (Sorry for the large files but the images are HD!) Please review to improve!

KS3 Electricity unit

6 Resources
This bundle offers the KS3 curriculum on electricity (Years 8, 9 and 10). Each lesson is fully differentiated into Low, Mid, High and GCSE tasks and can be fully adaptable to any scale of learning (e.g. AWOL, 9-1) The outline below gives a lesson by lesson account of the bundle Lesson 1 - Investigating batteries (Pupils will look at how batteries work and investigate a self made battery) Lesson 2 - Circuits (Pupils will learn how to draw model circuit diagrams including symbols, and learn how to put these into practice) Lesson 3 - Voltage (Pupils will be able to explain what voltage is and what it does to current. They will be making comparisons to a model diagram and looking at voltage calculations) Lesson 4 and 5 - Resistance (Pupils will be able to explain and calculate resistance through Ohm’s law. They will also be planning and conducting an investigation to look at how resistance of a wire changes with length (linked to How Science Works) Lesson 6 - Series and Parallel Circuits (Pupils will be drawing comparisons between series and parallel circuits and be able to discuss them qualitatively and also apply calculations to determine current and voltage through them) Any feedback would be appreciated.
