A two week literacy unit based around Edward Lear’s infamous poem. Compare the original text to Julia Donaldson’s, ‘Further Adventures of the Owl and the Pussy-cat’. Children then write their own narrative entitled ‘The Next Adventure of the Owl and the Pussy-cat’. Publish their own book.
