I created this A3 document to support students with having a basic overview of each of the AQA Power and Conflict poems.
Useful as a starting-off point - or where students have gaps in their learning - this document features all 15 poems on one page of A3.
Each poem is broken down into:
Two or Three key ideas for the poem
Supporting evidence for each idea
There is also a box of useful next steps providing guidance as to what students can do with the worksheet.
This can easily be used independently by students or as part of a more guided learning sequence.
Help students upgrade their vocabulary with this simple eye-catching display that outlines a range of alternative words for students to use instead of ‘Very’.
I’ve referred to this display in almost every lesson when supporting students with creative writing and have produced this as a straightforward display so it is ready to print, cut and stick up on the wall.
In total, there are 32 hexagons to print and attach to a wall for an easy display that includes lots of different words helping students to be more precise with their language.
Print each hexagon on a different coloured piece of paper to make it more eye-catching.
A set of 13 pdf documents outlining key theatrical devices - from Greek tragedy to contemporary ideas - that can be used to enhance student writing about a playwright’s decisions. The documents include a range of terms, definitions and also some examples to help students understand the devices in sufficient detail.
