A funny play loosely based on the Grinch by Dr. Seuss, and the well known movie. The story revolves around the town of Whoville, where all the Whos love Christmas. In fact they love Christmas so much it is all they talk about! However, a mysterious outcast lives to the North of the town; this outcast hates Christmas and anything to do with the festive time of year. This outcast is called the Grinch! The play follows the story of Cindy-Lou and her family as they open up to the Grinch, and try to show him what Christmas is all about. However, the Grinch has his own plans to ruin Christmas for the town, and steals all the presents on Christmas eve. He has a change of heart however when he hears the town enjoying Christmas even though he had stolen all of the presents. His heart grows and he quickly returns the gifts and takes part in all the festivities. There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. Elf tells the story of ‘Buddy the Elf’ who was accidentally taken to the North Pole in Santa’s sack one Christmas Eve. On arrival he wasn’t welcomed by his father until a DNA test reassured him that he was actually his son. The family grew to like Buddy, and he also found a girlfriend – but then everything changed when he fell out with his father one day and decided to leave. But as he was walking alone he heard a crash in Central Park, when he went to investigate he noticed it was his good friend, Santa. The family caught up with him and realised he had been telling the truth all along, he was in fact an elf from the North Pole. The friends and family all worked together to lift Christmas spirit and thus power Santa’s sleigh to ensure he could finish his deliveries. A World War 2 Escape Room activity about the outbreak of the Second World War. Ideal for Year 5 or Year 6, the activity is perfect for group work, starting a new World War II topic, team-building activities or for a fun, engaging and interactive lesson. The activity can be used in English class as it incorporates some ELA skills or in Social Studies. The activity has been split into four different tasks; your students will need to complete each of the tasks to reveal a word. Together the four words make a phrase for them to escape the room. In Task 3 students will have to cut out 27 timeline task cards before putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word. In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. This is a play script for Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’. It tells the story of a mean, old man named Ebenizer Scrooge, who runs a dark and miserable buisness. His workers are under-paid and over-worked, especially his assistant Bob Cratchett. It is Christmas eve and his Bob asks for the day off to spend time with his family, and sick child – Tiny Tim. Scrooge almost refuses but decides to just dock his pay for the day. Then, that evening he gets a visit from his previous business partner – another miserable person called Jacob Marley. Marley tells him he needs to change his ways or end up with the same fate as him; he tells him how he will be visited by three ghosts that night. The ghosts visit and show Scrooge various things that upset him enough to change his ways. After the visits of the ghosts Scrooge wakes up on Christmas day a changed man and tries to put right all the wrongs he has caused over the previous decades! There are song recommendations throughout the script and roles for 19 speaking parts, with extra roles for up to 30 students. A play script for William Shakespeare’s Hamlet rewritten for students from third grade to seventh grade. The script now also comes with a PDF teacher presentation to help you introduce the play and the characters to your students. Hamlet tells the story of a Prince whose father, the King, has just died. His father’s ghost visits him and tells him that the new King, Claudius – who has married his mother – was the killer. A Christmas Carol (A School Remix) tells the story of a mean, old headmaster, Ebenizer Loops, who runs a dark and miserable school. The teachers are under-paid and over-worked, and the students are not allowed to smile or have fun. It is Christmas eve and his best worker, Bob Bamboo asks for the day off to spend time with his family, and sick child – Petite Pat. Loops almost refuses but decides to just dock his pay for the day. Then, that evening he gets a visit from the previous headmaster – another miserable person called Mr Frown. Mr Frown tells him he needs to change his ways or end up with the same fate as him; he tells him how he will be visited by three ghosts that night. The ghosts visit and show Loops various things that upset him enough to change his ways. After the visits of the ghosts Loops wakes up on Christmas day a changed man and tries to put right all the wrongs he has caused over the previous decades! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 19 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles for up to 30 students too. I hope you have fun with it, my class had a ball! This is a play script for William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which has been rewritten to be suitable for ages 9 to 14. The script now also comes with a PDF teacher presentation to help you introduce the play and the characters to your students. A Midsummer Night’s Dream tells the story of four Athenian lovers who have a complicated yet dramatic love life. Lysander and Hermia loved each other and wished to be together. Helena loved Demetrius, but Demetrius loved Hermia, and Hermia’s father wanted him to marry his daughter. Hermia and Lysander decided to run off together into the woods. But the woods were haunted by the Fairy King and Queen - Oberon and Titania, and the King’s mischievous henchman, Puck.
