All four activities follow the same format explained below: In Task 1 students will read an informational text about the area of World War 2 and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word. In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word. In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about the Second World War, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed. In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options.
