This is a bundle of six Year 3 or Year 4 reading comprehension activities, or informational text activities, about some of the most famous artists - Michelangelo, Banksy, Rembrandt, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock and Claude Monet. The informational texts look into the lives, careers and achievements of each individual, and conclude with comprehension and grammar questions. They also contain extension activities for fast-finishing students. They are aimed at students between the ages of 7-10. Each resource is ideal for a homework activity, a reading group activity, guided reading, exam/test preparation etc. Each activity requires NO PREP; they have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. Six more reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, with comprehension and grammar questions followed by extension tasks about six famous artists: Michelangelo, Claude Monet, Rembrandt, Banksy, Jackson Pollock and Henri Matisse. The Google Forms activities are ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6 learning about Art History or World History. The individual resources looks into: Michelangelo Claude Monet Henri Matisse Rembrandt Banksy Jackson Pollock The activities are online resources, that use Google Forms, and are linked to your Google Drive. They can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and are easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format. Time allowance to complete: 5-10 minutes - read through the text individually. 40-50 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity) Time allowance to assess: A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options. Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the gmail account where you wish to store the activity. In the past teachers have downloaded resources into their school account in error. This is a bundle of twelve reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about famous artists. The bundle includes activities on: Pablo Picasso Leonardo da Vinci Salvador Dali Andy Warhol Frida Kahlo Michelangelo Banksy Rembrandt Henri Matisse Jackson Pollock Claude Monet Vincent van Gogh The texts look at the artists lives and work, and conclude with comprehension and grammar questions. They also contain extension activities for fast-finishing students. They are aimed at students between the ages of 7-10. Each resource is ideal for a homework activity, a reading group activity, guided reading, exam/test preparation etc. Each activity requires NO PREP; they have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final pages of the documents. Time allowance ( one hour) 5 minutes - read through the text individually. 40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity) 15 minutes - Teacher and students go through the text and answers.
