KS4 Spanish: Structures using infinitives....to go in Independent Learning Folders (see blog post for explanation)

PowerPoint introducing places in town and prepositions plus a 'Ou est Wally?&' activity. Map A and Map B Each student has a sheet with two maps: their own and their partner&';s map with places missing. They have to ask their partners where the places are and then fill in their own map. There is a support sheet to help them with this. There is also a slide on the ppt which has the words which are missing from each map.

I used this with my Y7s. PowerPoint to teach the different vocab for clothes Interactive whiteboard activity - you say a sentence and students have to dress the stick man with the correct clothes - my kids really enjoyed this activity. I also got my students to dress up in ridiculous clothes and they had to describe them - they loved that too! Hope it's useful Any feedback is welcome! Dannielle

Pocket money To go alongside AQA Spanish textbook. Pocket money sheet to be cut up into cards - students have to put them together to make sentences (you may want to make these a big bigger) On PowerPoint: Conditional - si tuviera más dinero compraría... Adivinad las frases - choose a word from each speech bubble, students have to guess, if they get first one wrong, the next person goes and starts from the beginning, if they get it right they can try and guess the next one - good speaking activity Hope it's useful

Powerpoint with opinions on school subjects and adjectives with endings Worksheet on adjective endings

Resources used with Y7 Spanish for their Storytelling project. Powerpoint tutorials to teach vocabulary for fruits and animals in La Sorpresa de Nandi (Handa's Surprise). Sheets with images of animals and fruits to be cut up. ICT in MFL Display Useful websites/apps - duolingo, wordreference, linguascope, memrise etc.

Some kind soul has already uploaded all of the French GCSE AQA vocab to Memrise so thank you to them for doing all the hard work! I've just put together a sheet with the links and QR codes to each section D

Ppt: Introduction to se puede + infinitive, speaking activity with extension task for higher, differentiated translation activity plus extension, differentiated listening activity. Knowledge checker sheet: students highlight at start, middle and end of lesson to show progression. Listening sheet: students fill in gaps and can choose whether or not they want to have the words in front of them.

General vocab such as intros, adjectives, colours, common words and phrases. Print onto card and cut up and stick so that you have Spanish on one side and English on back then put cards in a tin. Can be played alone but probably better in pairs or groups. Students pick a card from the tin and translate word into Spanish/English. Then check it is correct by looking at the back of the card. If they get it right they keep it, if they get it wrong they put it back in the jar. If they get a 'BANG&' card they have to put all cards back in the tin. Hope that makes sense! Dannielle
