This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at questions three, four and five for paper one, explorations in creative reading and writing. The lesson helps learners to gain a strong understanding of both language and structure and how to apply these to exam responses. The lesson has many opportunities for AFL and includes model responses. The lesson also helps learners to structure their response for the creative writing question. All of my lessons have been tried and tested with my own groups and can be taught either face-to-face or online. This is a fully differentiated lesson looking focusing largely on chapter seven of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The lesson works well for revision as it tests learner’s ability to recall the key chapters within the novella and they key events. The lesson moves on to look at the theme of good and evil and how this is conveyed in key sections of the text. The lesson works well both face-to-face as well as online and have been tried and tested with my own groups. The lesson looks at the contextual information regarding the poem and helps learners to draw links between this and the other poems in the anthology.
