I am a Fulbright Scholar, a Fellow of both the Royal Historical Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have written three books and numerous academic journal articles about Anglo-American relations and the U.S. presidency, predominantly during the Cold War era. The books are: Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan (2012); The Politics of Diplomacy - U.S. Presidents and the Northern Ireland Conflict (2017); A Diplomatic Meeting - Reagan, Thatcher, and the art of summitry (2019). After previously working at Aberystwyth University and Oxford Brookes University, I have been at York St John University since 2019. I am happy to support teachers of History and/or Politics (or Social Studies in the United States) on topics including Reagan, Thatcher and the Cold War.
