This detailed 23 page PSHE / Citizenship workbook has been created for the new PSHE 2020 Statutory Guidance and focuses on prejudice and discrimination - in this case racism and the Black Lives Matter movement. It contains all of the information needed to learn about the topic in the first few pages, then the rest of the booklet is full of activities to complete. A fully resourced lesson which could be used in PSHCE or as over a week of Tutor Time sessions, investigating the climate change protests. Students will discover who Extinction Rebellion and Greta Thunberg are, what they and similar groups and people are trying to achieve, why the urgency and why some people oppose some of the current methods of protest. Students will then form their own views on whether peaceful protest is really enough in the face of a global climate emergency. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying information pack and worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and debate task. The resources are all in the ZIP file, the images have been uploaded so you can clearly see an example on Tes of some of the contents. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for PSHE, Citizenship or Tutor Time. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it. This tracker displays all of the new statutory PSHE, RSE and Health guidelines down the left hand side (from the DfE) then the optional code references for how the PSHE Association has broken these down into further, optional content (linked on the document). On the right hand side there are five columns that can be filled in for Year groups 7-11 to show where in each half term the guidance is met. This has been created from the audit made by Brian Reeve-Hayes, PSHE Specialist and consultant. It is currently filed in showing how you the EC Resources Complete PSHE Packs covers all the new statutory guidelines for 2020 PSHE for Years 7 - 11. The document is particularly useful for those using the EC Resources Complete KS3 or Complete KS4 packs as it was created to complement these.
