Vaping - what is it and why is it so dangerous? In this lesson, the students will revisit their previous knowledge of smoking and vaping, as we delve deeper into the issue of underage vaping, its health risks and the wider environmental impact. The lesson will look at the history of vaping and it’s role in driving down the use of tobacco, before discussing the growing trend of vaping amongst young people. We will be reminded of our fundamental British values, with respect to the rule of law and democracy as we evaluate the effectiveness of our current laws and create a campaign to lobby the government for stricter regulations. The lesson is both challenging and mature and has been created with a view to being used with students in Year 6, however, the resources are also suitable for use in LKS3 (Years 7 or 8).
