My classroom community KS1 PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for students in Year 2, and could easily be adapted for use with older students.
In this lesson, the children will learn about classroom roles and responsibilities that help us to maintain a clean, safe, and tidy classroom environment. We will discuss classroom helpers in the form of various monitors (chair, register, cloakroom etc) and reflect on the reasons why we all responsible for taking care of our workspace as well as one another.
We will listen to Our Class is a Family by Shannon Olsen, before completing an activity linked to the text. The lesson includes a case study starter, a story with accompanying questions, a set of case studies to discuss and a reflective plenary.

This is part one of the EC Resources Complete Year 10 PSHE Pack. This bundle includes 7 hours’ worth of lessons and assessments (self esteem will last two hours) and the scheme of work that goes with them. Created for the new 2020 PSHE Statutory Guidelines.
