This pack contains a couple of handouts to share with parents to support the transition from pre-school to reception.
The pack includes:
All about me questionnaire for parents to fill out with their child.
Are you ready to start school poster
Fine motor activities to support the children at home
A board game featuring words related to football. Children choose a board game character from home/school and start at the start. Roll the dice and as you move along the board, read the words.
Fairy home learning plan, featured around the story ‘Freddie and the Fairy’. The pack contains a focus learning plan for maths, topic, literacy and phonics, an additional areas of learning sheet, Mark making sheets to match the planned activities, maths tens frame, part part whole and Number 8 representation sheet. The pack also includes recipes for potions and an instruction card to make a fairy house.
A powerpoint featuring the Number 8 and modelled number stories powerpoint.
The pack also includes an additional sheet of websites for parents to support home learning.
Printable phonic games featuring Snakes and Ladders, Roll and Read and Noughts and Crosses. Each set contains Phase 2 and 3 Tricky word cards. Some games also feature phase 2 and 3 sounds and some with decodable words.
Each game has a printable blank sheet for you to write your own words.
A full set of phase 2/Alphabet picture match sounds on a wheel for initial sounds.
These work great with some lettered pegs or letter stones to practise sound recognition in phonics and listening for initial sounds.
1 week Home Learning pack for EYFS on the topic of Dinosaurs.
Featuring ‘Areas of Learning’ activty sheet, a phonics, maths, literacy and Topic planning sheet. Mark making resources and phonic presentation slides.
This is themed around Harry and the Dinosaurs and celebrates Harry’s 7th Birthday as you explore the number 7.
It also includes an additional sheet of free websites for home learners.
A Chinese New Year home learning poster filled with activities to meet the EYFS Areas of Learning.
These are created for home learning or within the classroom.

Home learning for the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ featuring 1 weeks worth of planning including daily phonics, maths, topic and literacy activities.
Attached is also an ‘Additional activities sheet’ linked to the story.
I have also added an example home learning timetable and poster with addidional websites for parents
1 weeks worth of planning for home learning for the story ‘Monkey Puzzle’. Planning is easy to use and set up for parents to use at home, feauturing daily maths, literacy, phonics and topic activities. The pack also includes an ‘Additional Areas of Learning’ sheet which features extra activities.
This pack also includes and example home learning timetable and a sheet signposting parents to online websites.
Home Learning 1 week planning sheet including phonics, literacy, maths and Topic activities for the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpilar’.
This learning will support reception and Foundation 2 learning.
Attached to the sheet is also an Additional areas of learning sheet with extra activities linked to the story.
Attached are some activities that I have made myself to match the learning on the planning. If the resources are not attached (sequencing pictures) they can be found online ie/ Twinkl.
Attached is also an example home learning timetable and extra websites for parents to use.
A two week set of home learning ‘All About Space’ for EYFS reception learning. This set of work includes planning - phonics, literacy, maths and topic. It is simple and easy for families to use at home.
Some resources for the planning is included with the planning (Tricky words Noughts and crosses, a letter from the aliens, a story map template etc) However some resources have not been included as they have been found online or edited from online resources.
It also includes an example Timetable for families to use day-to-day.
