An introductory scheme of work to the Cambridge IGCSE English Language course (0500), however can be adapted for other GCSE and IGCSE English Language courses. This unit of work is for examinations from 2020 and onwards. The aim of this scheme of work is to introduce students to the reading and writing skills required for the exam. The scheme begins with general skill refreshers, and develops toward a focus on Paper 2 Question 1 (Directed Writing). There are also some opportunities in the scheme for creative writing practice, as well as a range of peer, self, and teacher assessment opportunities. The PowerPoints are completely editable, and you may wish to move around lessons or adapt them to suit your classes. Within the bundle, there is also a scheme of work document, detailing the resources needed for each lesson. All resources are numbered in line with the lesson they correlate to.
