Set of 10 (ish) lessons designed for new History AQA GCSE. Some lessons refer to information in the green AQA textbook but I'm sure you can find equivalent information. Some lessons also based on Dan and Peter Snow documentary. Link provided on slides for the version I used. Lesson 1 of 7 for KS3 (year 9) on the Holocaust. Introduces the idea of stereotyping and why it is wrong and how it led to the Holocaust. Fun gingerbread man activity to assess what a stereotype is followed by source analysis of anti-Semitic propaganda and how this might lead to the holocaust. Students will go on to assess anti-Semitism through the ages in the next lesson.

KS3 (Year 9) Lesson 3 & 4 of 7. Lesson 3 has information carousel of why Hitler disliked the Jews. Students to look at reasons and assess why these are not acceptable reasons for his future persecution of Jews. GCSE-style 4 mark describe question with success criteria and peer mark.
Lesson 4: Students to look at possible Nuremberg laws and sign whether they think each is true or false. Revealed all are true. Students are to assess which surprised them most and write into table. Challenges included. Source analysis and extra info on Kristallnacht if required.
Final 3 lessons in year 9 Holocaust unit. Range of tasks, information and pictures covering the treatment of Jews under Hitler. Students have also watched "the Pianist" to gain a better understanding of life in the ghettos. Range of tasks with worksheets and links to useful clips. Progress marking sheet also included and marking sheet for extended piece of writing (this is linked to old levels but can be easily adjusted)
