Based around articles of PT Barnham this lesson was made based on others I have seen and to help with issues in our college community. It looks at two articles and asked the students to write a question 5 answer - letter Links are to the BBC website

This is a walk through around the AQAs surfing paper I have used for low ability students it has space for planning, model answers and marking (quick marking which just needs highlighting.)

This looks at how the sun newspaper could be responsible for celebrities ending their lives or have a role to play in it. It looks at BRIAN CATHCARTs’ writing. I have used this with low ability students so it is scaffolded and only uses one text for the summary rather than two.

Rosabel 2017 paper question 3 with a lot of scaffolding for weaker groups. It used the Hunger games and Goldilocks to explain what structure is.

I love this book and wanted to inspire some of my students to read a wider range of text. I also thought it was a little different from some of the other paper one texts out there. I have used this for holiday revision with my college resit students. It has a little guidance with each question and a marking grid for quick assessment.
