I have been teaching English/English Literature for 15 years. I am now an Assistant Headteacher but am still passionately committed to working with students of all abilities in the classroom. My work is based heavily on raising progress levels and allowing students to see how they can improve. I love my job! I hope you find my resources useful.

Literacy: Sentence Structures

This resource is for teaching and consolidating sentence structures at all Key Stages from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 as needed. Simple, compound, complex and multi-clausal sentences are covered here. There is a lesson component and then a low stakes test component consisting of 14 tests to assess knowledge. These are fantastic as starters or plenaries. The tests start off very simple and get harder as you go through the content. It is an excellent way to keep sentences fresh in the students’ mind and to recall and recap knowledge.
