Orders of Magnitude and Standard Form Estimation Activity

(0)
This is a starter and plenary activity designed for KS4 (but could be adapted for other levels) that covers estimation, orders of magnitude and standard form. As a starter, ask the students to use estimation to order the cards according to their value. As a plenary, use the next set of cards to have the students work out the value of each card and check their original estimation. This might be useful in GCSE Maths, GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry, or GCSE Physics and also Maths skills lessons.
