A complete lesson on the features of shield and composite volcanoes and the differences between them. The lesson develops map and use of diagram skills. The lesson also includes a practice question and modelled answers. Include a lesson plan with timings, a ppt and a handout.
A complete lesson with resources on the nature of earthquakes and their destruction. The first part of the lesson helps students understand the phases of an earthquake and what it feels like to be in an earthquake. The second part of the lesson is a problem solving activity on how to manage the immediate problems after an earthquake.
There is also an AFL activity in the lesson.
This is a GCSE lesson on top down and bottom up development strategies. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is KS3 lesson designed to expose students to the use of maps in understanding our place in the world. It’s essentially a map skill lesson where students move from local to global using different maps. Key facts about the lesson are:

This is an assessment for a Hazardous earth component of Edexcel B GCSE. I’m sure it can be used for other exam boards as the hazardous earth unit is included in all geography specifications. Key facts about the assessment are:
The assessment is mainly comprised of short answer questions with one extended writing piece.
The assessment covers a range of marks from a 1 mark question to 8 mark question.
The assessment include source based questions, recall questions and a case study question.
The assessment examines the following content; global warming, the greenhouse effect/gases, natural and human causes of past climate change, evidence of the little ice age, features of tropical storms and the effects and response to tropical storms.
The paper uses command words use by the exam board.
This is a GCSE lesson on sustainable management of tropical rainforests. Key facts about the lesson are:
The content covered by the lesson are; the concept of sustainable management of rainforests, some strategies used to management rainforests namely selecting logging, debt for nature swop deals, replanting, conservation, public education, international hardwood agreements (FSC) and ecotourism.

Three A-level lessons on global governance. One lesson introduced students to the concept of global governance. A second lesson focuses on global commons and the idea of the tragedy of the commons.
The final lesson examines whether or not global governance works. All three (3) lessons have case study examples, video clips, web links and all the resources to deliver them.
This is a GSCE lesson on the causes and effects of sub-urbanisation and counter-urbanisation. The lesson can also be adapted for A level as well.
This is an all in one lesson; all the resources, tasks, differentiated activities are on the ppt. The lesson is develop already as well; it flows naturally from the starter to the plenary and is really very simply to follow. Simply download the lesson ppt and teach! All the planning is done for you so you can concentrate on marking books etc .

This is a GCSE lesson on longshore drift. The lesson focuses on how longshore drift operates and how it affects sediments along the coast. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson starts with a video clip about longshore drift. It then moves on to a diagram and writing task on longshore drift. The next phase of the lesson is an analysis task where students use resources to explain the effect of longshore drift on sediments. The final task is a geo skills task using a picture and a satellite image. The lesson ends with a recap plenary.
