Russian Revolution & Civil War Pack

Russian Revolution & Civil War Pack

(2)
Made during the lockdown for a series of lessons to KS3 (Year 9) on the dates, causes and impact of the Russian Revolution. Including the rise of Lenin and then the resulting Russian Civil War. The lessons all follow the same format and are made to be set on a VLE for independent work at home. However the activities are perfectly suitable for use in class and when paired with the PDF’s can make excellent lesson resources. The lesson follows a model: 5 recall questions on previous learning key words - on words used in the ppt Activity 1 Activity 2 Activity 3 Deliberate Practice - a writing piece based on learning - can be an exam question but for KS3 the focus should be on extended writing with confidence, not exam questions. Please review if downloaded and used. Depending on how far I go with this I can upload something similar after. Some of the resources are taken from https://www.ichistory.com/ who has a range of PDF’s to use. I find the site really useful and although I don’t usually ‘pay’ for resources, the site is well worth the small fee for an annual subscription. I have the owner’s permission to use and promote his resources. It also uses some resources from https://www.teachithistory.co.uk/ which again is an EXCELLENT resources site which if you upload a resource - is free for any author. I would so strongly suggest getting on there. It has helped me out a handful of times and I have in return uploaded resources there.

GCSE Hist Power & the People Factor Log Book

An accompanying log book to the GCSE History AQA course for Power and the People as unit 2/B on the paper. I have used this in conjuction with teaching the course and upon completing a lesson, return to this booklet to reinforce the themes of each ‘case study’. Very helpful for the final Q4 essay 16 marker which makes up the bulk of the course. Please tweak for your own use and review please. Use widely and share with one another I as the ORIGINAL author of this do NOT want this to ever be charged for so if seen please report

MEP 10: The New World

I have taught this lesson as the 10th in the series for Migration, Empire and the People for GCSE History AQA Paper 2: Section A, Option C I have used KS3 resources but scaled up to examine reasons for the move westward, the competition of other European Nations. Lots of accompanying resources. Only a stand alone lesson as I have been using others resources for the other topics. Hope this helps someone else. Migration is a tough unit, very few ‘free’ resources out there. If only we all shared and shared alike, we’d all help one another.
