Here are two articles. One is criticising Peppa Pig and one is defending it.
I know both of these texts are 21st century but I find these 2 articles are useful for teaching students the Paper 2 Question 4 skills of comparing authorial feelings and perspectives before moving on to looking at a more challenging 19th century comparison text.
I have collated what I consider to be the most important 80+ quotations onto one document. There are lots of ways students and teachers can use this resource.
One is to pick a certain number to really focus on and build on developing inferences for them in the same way as the two examples I have provided.
Students may also want to find different ways of grouping the quotations together such as by different themes to help prepare for any question that might come up in the exam.
I have also included a version with key words missing so students can add the key word. This works well as a starter.
Also contains a random generator powerpoint that works well as a bell activity.

Set off the random generator. Right click to stop on a random quotation. Students must compete to be the first to identify the missing word.
Works well as a quick 5 minute activity to repeat over a number of lessons.

A simple list (with definitions) of 30 tier 2 and tier 3 words that I have spotted when reading various grade 9 level responses over the years to help students make perceptive comments about the play.
A list of ambitious vocabulary and short definitions of words I noticed from reading lots of grade 9 level Lord of the Flies exam responses. Hopefully this is useful for students aiming for the top grades.
The worksheet contains over 100 key quotes from the novel in chapter order.
Students are asked to link each quotation with one of the main themes using a code.
Students found this to be a highly effective revision tool.
The template for a simple but highly effective differentiated starter activity to teach students new vocabulary.
Simply insert key words into each box and you are ready to go.
