Print, laminate and cut out cards to use when students who are required to work silently. The student has the 3 different traffic light cards and has to display one, on their desk, visible to the teacher. The rest of the class work in silence on course work or task and the student who displays a red thumbs-down card can be seen and discreetly support, with out causing any disruption. Very useful for a noisy challenging big class. T-Level Health Science Supporting Adult Nursing Student Reflective Journal but can be adapted (Word document) for any number of courses. The template for a weekly reflecting using Gibbs Reflective Cycle for students such as attendance, uniform (if applicable), punctuality and prepared to learn, homework and independent student and then progress that week in general. The template for set task reflection can be used for exam/test, role play activity, presentation or group task etc A presentation explains Gibbs Reflective Cycle and how to use the journal so getting in the habit from week 1 is advisable. The Reflective Journal can be ring bound to be a formal document and (in theory) raise their attitude towards improving, progression and professional behaviours. This will map progress for tracking purpose and can be used in the classroom or on placement. In the ESP Task 4 is reflection on Tasks 1-3 and in the 2nd year OSA Task 4 requires students to refer to their reflective portfolio. Correct skills for reflection must be developed and become habit. BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 (2022 spec)- a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for A2.Emotional and half the A2.Social Factors If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 10, this now relates to PSA Task 2. There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There is literacy support and worksheets to capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. All the spec content relates to PIES development with the first presentation which is 32 slides covering all the A2.Emotional content. There is an A3 summary sheet for students notes and reference when completing the PSA Task 2. The second presentation is 26 slides and covers the below content of the A2.Social Factors. There is a third presentation which aims to raise literacy levels and gives students vocabulary prompts to enable students to access higher grades when writing up their PIES in the assessment work. BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what is needed for the life stage Adolescence (9-18 years-olds) If you are following my SoW this is Week 4 is the delivery of all aspects covering growth and development in the second life stage, childhood 3-8 years. The pace has to be reasonably fast to get the content delivered, there is one PowerPoint you can use split for different lessons. All the spec content is included in one presentation with 52 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. These cover the expected key characteristics in each of the PIES classifications. This will allow the lesson to finish on a slide that suits you, however, to keep up with the SoW the whole of the below will need to be delivered in one week. The content cover is as per the spec… • physical: onset of puberty, differences between males and females, primary and secondary sexual characteristics • intellectual: complex and abstract thinking develops • emotional: independence increases further, more freedom to make own decisions, concerns over self-image and self-esteem may increase, emotional wellbeing is based on attachment, security and contentment • social: wide range of formal/informal relationships develop and have influence, intimate relationships are formed The resources are in a format you can adapt to suit your need.
