This lesson focuses on the beginning of A Christmas Carol (Stave 1) and focuses on the key extract of how Scrooge is described. The lesson has challenges to challenge higher ability pupils as well as exemplar analysis to help middle ability pupils. The lesson also gives pupils the ability to write their own paragraph on how Scrooge is presented in the extract. There is also a recall starter in line with the previous lesson. Throughout the lesson, there is vocabulary to aid the pupils, such as metamorphosis and hostile.
