Elephants and Ivory - reading comprehension
Following the meeting of international leaders in Johannesburg to discuss whether to implement a worldwide ban on the trade in ivory in an attempt to protect the elephant population, this comprehension resource supports a BBC Newsround text which examines problems faced by Africa’s elephants.
The resource contains 3 worksheets of questions, differentiated for use through KS1 and KS2. It could also be used to support readers in KS3 and supports aspects of learning in SMSC. Answers and ‘content domain’ references are included for each question.
