Teach pupils about the use of literary devices and figurative language in Alfred Noyes’ poem The Highwayman using these four activities with differentiation. The classic poem is full of literary devices such as similes, metaphors and personification. Examples of these and more are explored to give pupils a deeper understanding of the text.
