This booklet breaks down the NEA into the sub sections for AQA and can be used either in teaching or providing to students to assist them as they work independently in the tasks. Breaks down into the grade boundaries per sub section.

Knowledge organisers which cover all of the design and making principles for AQA A level DT course. Knowledge organisers cover key information and can be used for revision, teaching aid and homeworks.
An NEA A level “how to guide” which takes students through the sections of the NEA (AQA). A guide which can be discussed in lessons, form teaching and allows students to work independently on their NEA controlled assessment.
It lists tasks that students should consider to include for each section as an easy to read step by step jobs list. The booklet breaks down the sections showing the percentages per section.
The booklet also includes a breakdown of the marking critieria for each section. Grades A*-D have been listed and not E-U because it was felt when I made this booklet students should be ‘aiming high’ and not focusing on the lower grade bands. This could be added.
Within each section (A-E) is a notes page for students/teacher to make notes based on 1-2-1 meetings in lessons.
A double sided worksheet which could be used for both GCSE or GCE DT (any exam board). Although this was designed for AQA.
The worksheet focuses on working out the volumne of LEGO bricks as well as questions on their manufacture (polymer revision links) and environmental considerations with the polymer LEGO is made from. Could be used as a revision or homework task.
A detailed power point (71 slides) which helps teach and explain the unit 1 course work for GCSE WJEC engineering.
The lessons take students through the project based around re-designing a mobile phone plug (DERRY electrical from the specification). There are graded examples and mini activities included which could be used as starter activities. A portfolio template is discussed throughout the power point and is included.
A single lesson or one which could be included into a graphics/packaging SOW. The lesson requires students to problem solve and apply maths and assembly techniques to produce a package for a single Penguin chocolate bar.
Graphics, packaging labeling etc to be applied (with cross over links to other areas).
A PPT which can be used as a single lesson task or a series. Introduces students to the De Stijl iconic chair and is a design and modelling based lesson. Students follow complex plans to produce a scale model in a series of different media. As well as producing technical drawings which are required for the NEA.
Planned for AQA GCE DT this resource could be used for other exam boards or GCSE as it is one of the designers/movements required for the course.
